WHEN THE ZOMBIES COME, WHO DO YOU WANT ON YOUR TEAM? KAREN INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.

Within two weeks of the zombie apocalypse all major cities will lose power. We will also quickly run out of petrol, bullets and medicine. But the Karen people have been thriving in the jungle for centuries without any of these things. They know how to identify medicinal plants, how to make fires, forage for food and use slingshots to hunt.

Our Karen guides are masters of jungle survival, and can teach you how to be too. One of our guides is also a former monk, who can help you make peace with death and prepare you for the afterlife... should you not make it through.

LEARN CRITICAL SKILLS FOR SURVIVING THE PENDING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE:

Off-road mountain ATVing + Fire-building + Make / wield a slingshot + Make natural zombie camoflauge face paint + Forage for jungle medicine + Drive a bamboo raft + Eat last food on earth

DAY 1

ATV / HIKE

  • With a rapidly deteriorating infrastructure post-apocalypse, being an adept off-road driver is critical. Therefore we start this trek by off-road ATVing through dense jungle up a mountain to your hiking start point. From there, you will hike on hidden jungle trails to find remote waterfalls and reach your waterfall Karen homestay. The jungle survival skill training begins on the journey, as you learn how to forage for firewood and jungle medicine.

KAREN HOMESTAY

  • Learn how to survive in the jungle living the Karen way, in traditional bamboo huts without electricity. Our homestay is located next to a rushing waterfall in the heart of the jungle. There you will learn how to make fire and cook in bamboo over an open flame. Your expert guide will teach you to make and wield a slingshot and how to make zombie camouflage* face paint from jungle plants. Spend the evening relaxing next to the waterfall, eat traditional locally-sourced foods and practice your slingshot skills.

*camouflage is a key strategy of defense-- zombies don't eat other zombies

DAY 2

BAMBOO RAFTING

  • Zombies can't swim, so learning to navigate a traditional bamboo raft down the river is a key survival skill for the zombie apocalypse. After hiking out of the jungle and through rice paddies you will arrive at the rafting start point and learn how to drive the raft down a jungle river. The pace of a rafting depends on the height of the water; in the rainy season, the water is swift and you will see some rapids, in the dry season, the river is calmer and clear.

EAT THE LAST FOOD ON EARTH

  • After the zombies come, supermarkets will be a thing of the past. End the trek by eating unusual local delicacies such as insects, tree bark, or tom luad moo, a dish made of congealed blood.
